I want it to be Deanna! I just don't think we've learned everything about her that HTC Brad knows. Jenni is super sweet and I really like her. But she'll be fine w/o Brad....heck, so would Deanna....but I just like Deanna's strength & depth of character. Jenni is always happy and has a really good outlook on life. I love that about her. But I love that DD has many, many sides to her personality...as we all do...she just shows them...kind of pure at heart, in my opinion. I like both of them. Doesn't matter which one he picks. Hope he is happy with his choice and I hope they can make it in the real world....I really believe it can happen.
I'm pumped, too! Cannot wait! I'm wondering if the girl says no. That would be shocking. There sure is a lot of hype about this one being something we have to have watched from the begining to appreciate. The suspense is killing me!
OK, WHY the rose in this picture then? Doesn't this give it away? In Cabo she had a blue dress on and I don't remember any snuggly nose to nose time after she accepted the rose. Hmmm....I see this as an "oops" on ABC's part. The countdown is progressing and I cannot hardly stand myself!!!!
That pic is definitely from Cabo. That cream jacket and black shirt was what he was wearing at the last rose ceremony. Jenni was in a brown dress, so you can only see that and hair in the pic. He's not wearing anything like that in the previews for the final rose.
I am pumped! Random side note: I bet that the Christan churches have seen surge in attendance since Solisa mentioned her faith!
I think DD is saying all the right words but I don't really feel it, so I am rooting for Jenni.
The biggest twist I could think of would be Brad saying that neither girl was for him and that he'd like to date Sheena. (He is too big a gentleman to say such thing during the ceremony though!)
Wellll....this business about Jenni being sorry in the preview is lame. I know this because in the preview from after last week it shows her saying "I'm sorry I didn't tell you my feelings sooner" during the part where she is crying. I still don't know how it's going to end shockingly but I'm banking on some one saying no or him not choosing either girl. Either that or they get married on the spot! HAHAHA
Seriously...wouldn't it be shocking if Brad whipped out an extra rose from inside his jacket and gave them both a rose! To continue to date them in the real world!
he really appeared to be worried about DD's opening up to him just moments ago - like he knew he was going to be breaking her heart......i am still hopeful for DD, though....i think Mom liked her over Jenni the Pooh
anon 8:20pm I heard Jenni say that too last week on the preview and I agree. They just sliced it to fit in with their most shocking ending ever. We'll just have to wait and see. I'm on mountain time and it hasn't started yet.... I can't wait!
Wow. I don't understand why he couldn't just not give one of them a ring but continue to date her to see if it could develop into love. I think the guy's got some commitment issues.
RECAP: he dumps them both. Thought that Jenni would be the only one crying until DD arrived. As soon as he got to the "moment" to ask her, he excused himself and walked away. Not sure even the producers saw this one coming.
recap in a nutshell - he didn't pick either of them.....they both went home - we get to see them all on After The Final Rose tomorrow night - i read on one of these blogs where he went back to an ex in Austin, but someone said they saw DD's pics on a website for one of his bars.....whatever....that was lame. Guess we'll get his "excuse" tomorrow night......not sure it's worth it...unless he speaks the truth.
What I think is really interesting is that he purposefully said "I have to say goodbye to you" to both of them. Not a "let's see where things go, etc."
Five sentence recap: His family loved both girls. Both girls poured out their hearts to him on the last date night. He picked a ring. He told Jenni "Bye". He was all prepared to ask DD to marry him and then he freaked out and told her he couldn't say the things she wanted to hear and said "Bye" to her, too.
It was a painful loss. Brad and Deana simply completed each other. I feel so bad for her...and him. Part of me wonders if there is a contractual obligation. Can he not date one? Does he have to propose or let go? He seems so drawn to Deana, and I feel like he still longs to be with her, but can't.
wow - i can't wait to watch it now - so he's done with them both, huh? Not even a "date in the real world" chance? DD must have had quite a look on her face when he stepped away. wowsers!
My husband (very uncharacteristically) watched with me. The second he told Deanna "I have to say goodbye" my husband said, "well, there's a guy who can't commit. I bet he's a greater dater, but chokes when it's time to close the deal."
So, there's a guy's opinion on it. I write romance novels and I like my HEA. I feel cheated.
Just because someone can't fall in love with someone in front of TV cameras in a matter of weeks doesn't mean he has commitment issues. It might mean he has more integrity than other people who have arranged a fake engagement. (Not one bachelor has ever actually gotten married to the person they gave the ring to).
Sniff..sniff...I sure hope you're reading these comments Brad - sounds like many of these "ladies" think you're a hero for goating two women into falling in love with you and making fools of themselves for your benefit. Suckers...each and every one of them.
he didn't pick either. what a loser. I thought Deanna was gonna knock his head off his neck. I pulled a "Hillary" and yelled the F word at the screen a few times. "What the F?" Seriously???
I think he might be the smartest bachelor yet. He kept saying he could "see himself" with either one of them, but didn't seem to feel any luvin' to either of them, at least I didn't pick up on any real feelings. Kudos to him for making a tough decision and not leading either of them on any more than he had too.
Seriously??? I can't believe he dumped them both. I think he has a case of permanent bachelorhood and just doesn't want to admit. He's trying to open a brothel goodness sakes!
For those hating on Brad because he didn't pick either one, I say good for him for not pretending like he was in "love" with someone for the sake of a happy ending and they're all lovey dovey, only to be broken up a few months later. I respect him more for Keeping it Real than going along with a pretend charade.
Okay, Brad just broke every women's heart who wasted our time watching this show. I was damn wrong about him. You can tell he was totally attracted to both women. But instead of not proposing and dating them both. He's pretty damn confident that he's going to have millions of women throwing themselves at him. Not after the rose ceremony. He's a commitment phobe and a lousy human being. If he had said he just didn't care for the women. Or he knew he'd never love them fine. But he never gave them a chance. Damn... the bachelor is ruined for me from here out, because I really liked this guy and I was so wrong. His character is totally questionable to me now. The ultimate betrayal. Brad you suck!!
Meet the parents: Deanna scored there; Jenni fumbled a bit. The dates - Deanna looked like she was pulling ahead in the race; Jenni - much crying, ABC/Hallmark style prose recited. *sniffle* (She served peas, so I would have walked her to the limo right there. Yuck!)
After walking two sniffling raccoons to their limos, Brad's left sitting alone to fondle his, erm....
...ring.
(Another guy who sees commitment issues -- or, why pick one when the publicity has been free.)
i am so upset. I cannot believe it. I also feel robbed of my bachelor-devoted hours, but more so feel like he is a prick but i liked him so much i dont want to say that. But, what a PRICK. Him and DeAnna were definitely in. I liked the comment about how he was going to propose and then couldnt follow through, but i dont fully believe that either. IT so sounded like he was going to ask her to spend the rest of their lives together. I was glad she spoke up. I feel like he was so dishonest, if your feeelings are that strong, how can you jut walk away? At least date in real world. Im also surprised that the show let him to that, its bull shit we are yelling at the TV over here. Cant wait for the Aftershow. Oh that Womack.
What a total disappointment. How can one keep saying "I see myself spending the rest of my life with....., then have a total change of heart with both at the last minute. I will never be a fool again and watch this show, it left me feeling like I was the idiot to believe there was an actual conclusion. Unfortunate for ABC and those who enjoyed the journey as entertainment.
Wow, I can't wait to watch it. I live in Nasvhille and they are showing the Titans football game on ABC instead of DWTS and The Bachelor. They are airing it at 2am instead. I can't believe it!
crap. My husband and I struck a deal earlier (part of the Bachelor or Titans/Broncos discussion)... that he'd let me watch the show and if the bachelor turned out to be gay and not pick either one that I would never watch the show again... crap. Brad, do NOT screw this up. crap.
As for the show, well, I'm just shaking my head. I don't get it. But what's worse? Saying goodbye now or in three weeks, splitsville YET AGAIN for an ill fated couple not able to find love on the show... now THAT is the predictable part that it likely won't work out b/c, well, has it ever really worked...?
So this twist- maybe it restores our faith that the process can work, but sometimes it doesn't and that is life.
Crap. Don't by gay though. I need my bachelor fix and I can't lose this bet to my hubby!!!
I think what bothered me was that he was not more up front about his feelings. Sure, I respect that he didn't want to chose either of them, but why go through the entire charade? Why ellicit those feelings from both those girls and then at the end just say, "thanks, sorry, goodbye?" Why not at least decide to date one of them and then let it drift off amicably, as had happened to every other bachelor couple? That saves at least one of the girls from having a huge public embarrassment. He does not have to propose - several bachelors have decided not to go that extra step. It was just cheesy and mean. That last shot of Deanna walking down the corridor with her shoes in her hands left me feeling really sad. I will never watch the show again.
he would not have gone through all that if he had no intention of asking either one - would he? it does seem like something may be up. there is rarely an after the rose ceremony so maybe something is going on. it still doesnt explain why he has gone on and on about finding his soul mate, being in love, etc.
He is saving himself for you, Lincee!!! I knew it!!
Actually, I think he might have been the most honest bachelor ever. How realistic is it that you could go into some experience like this and find true love and a lasting relationship? Not likely, though it is still good television! I'm still pulling for you to win the Hotter Than Crap Bachelor's heart! ;)
I can't wait for tomorrow night. I heard him say something like "I can't explain why I didn't fall in love" in the previews. They only dated for about six weeks....it's hard to fall in love in the real world in six weeks, least of all with cameras in your face all the time. But it can happen. There are several bachelors still with who they picked....my all time favorite being Byron & Mary...I love them together! But my heart broke for both girls tonight. They really did lay it all out on the line.....
I haven't liked him from the beginning...there was just something about him. I think this was all about the free advertising for his bars...he never had any intention to propose to anyone. Good for him that he just looks like a jerk and will end up with some golddigger in Austin. DD & Jenny are way better off without him.
Brad's a flake! To elicit all those feelings from the girls at the end and say "no I really want to know how you feel" he had to be knowing how he felt by then and knowing he not only wasn't going to propose but didn't even want to bother seeing either of them again.
I'm so believing the publicity stunt thing now. It was to boost his bars business. He's a player and he had us all.
ABC you shouldn't of aired this one. Unless it's the bachelorette next time I ain't watching!
Has anyone noticed the shows have been much shorter this go around? Isn't this last show usually 2 hours? We even had a 45 minute episode... hmm. "I'm just saying" Maybe ABC tried not to lead us on too much... maybe it was 10.5 hours instead of 12 before we all got dumped???
The best part of sitting here in shock has been finding refuge in all of the other folks who turned to Lincee for support.... We're all anxiously awaiting your report and insight!
Somebody look up narcissist in the psychology text. Brad's a classic case and believe me I know it! I dated a narcissistic guy for three years before I figured him out. They will say everything you want to hear. I thought Brad was so hot but he kept reminding me of that narcissist I dated, the way he smiled. The way he was so into each girl. Narcissist - nympho. Either way he sucks!
WOW....What a disappointment!! I was so confused. "I had to tell Jenni goodbye and now I have to tell you goodbye" - what was he thinking?!?!? I kept watching, waiting for him to say "I made a mistake - bring Jenni back!" Then I thought maybe he will ask one of them on tomorrow's show, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen either! - SO upset at having the whole season be a complete waste.
After he dumped Jenni he whispered something to her. First listed I thought it was "I love you", and then she cried. After multiple listens I am just not sure. Anyone get that?
The show was much shorter tonight. Usually the finale is 2 hours. Plus aren't there usually more episodes? It seems like they get to the home town date really fast!
TONIGHT'S SHOW WAS RIDICULOUS!!!! What a waste of a season of watching the show... Brad didn't even want to 'date' either of them to see, he gave no answers, it was ridiculous! I'm totally disappointed...
I can't believe he didn't choose anyone. I say this everytime, but this time I am not wasting one more minute watching this show...No one ever gets Married!!!! How sad!!!!
i am totally disappointed too. It is so fun reading all the comments though, I needed a way to get it all out. I am in shock. I am watching tomorrow but only to see what he has to stay, im as confused as the girls seemed. Someone said there is a picture of deanna in his bar, i cant believe this, why would she work for him, or even be around him. She looks awesome at the after show, take that bullshit b-rad.
Lincee.....Your opportunity has happened!!! He is free for you now - go get'em!
I was dissapointed as well. I wanted him to pick Deanna, but I could see he just didn't seem to have the chemistry with her. I am with all the other ones on here though who give him cudos for picking neither.
I think if it's that hard a choice between two people, your choice is clear. If one of them are meant to be, they would have been way out in front and he wouldn't have been thinking of the other one on their dates. As for commitment issues...it's possible, but in this case I don't blame him!
Anywho, just my two cents worth, and Lincee....I want a wedding invite! :)
I do have to say that I am shocked. And I think it is hilarious and comforting that we all RUN to Lincee! Very comforting to know that I'm not alone sitting here. Don't think he's not a nice person. Just honest.
I thought that the worst bachelor was the guy that Jen dumped (Jerry?). But this guy, what a let down. How unromantic, he couldn't even just not propose and date them for a couple weeks? He couldn't give us watchers that? I was so wrong about him. I feel so bad for Jenny and Dyanna. The bachelor needs to make a formal apology to them for picking such a egoist.
he's probably thinking he's famous now, and cant limit himself to these two wonderful women. That is a crock of crapola because he's doomed now, non-committer. It is better if he truly didnt love either of them not to ask them to marry him, but why not try dating them, because he did say he had strong feelings for them. And what was with him telling Deanna that when he met her he was "done". WHy say that and then say goodbye? Its crap crap crap. He definitely wanted to see what else is out there or something pathetic like that. I still cant believe it.
Anon 10:32= Deanna was never at his bar- it was a halloween pic that she took with a bunch of people and one of the people in the pic(probably someone she didn't even know) posted it on Brad's bars myspace page- it was taken at a bar in Georgia probably...The pic was taken down a few hours later, probably by ABC. But, I saw it before they did, and again, it was not at his bar, or posted by her.
Yeah! The whole "when I saw Deanna I said I was done" and the whole "I could see myself with either girl". Don't say that crap if you don't mean it you two faced loser!
I didn't like how he led her on during the last rose ceremony! I mean to make it sound like he was going to pick her was so low. Makes me feel really bad for D. Poor girl! Good thing he got all his publicity.
I will never be pumped again unless it's the bachelorette!! No more trusting the men to do the job right. I'm going to hit my husband just because Brad has now struck a mortal blow to all mankind. And now I will not look at a man trustingly again for at least a few days! Brad you suck Womack!!
I agree with the last couple of comments. He really seemed like a nice guy and I still think that he was not wrong to say goodbye to both of them. That said, why did he say those things to DD when she got there? When I kissed you, it was not like any others? What is that? But, in the end, I guess he was just honest.
I love how we all have our safe little community to 'vent' right now!! This is the first place I headed too after getting home, having watched it at work. I was painting....and am a great multitasker!! I will be watching tomorrow night for sure. Lincee can't wait for your thoughts!! Thank you for redeeming this season with all the laughs we got from you :)
I'm so mad! I hope Brad never finds a wife and grows old by himself! He's a heartless, spineless, loser! I'll never watch The Bachelor again. I feel like I wasted my time watching it this season. I'm done with that show.
It is one thing to make comments and lead these women on. Tell them over and over that they are "AMAZING" then drop them like a bad habit. I can understand him having a hard time to decide and ask to continue dating but to just leave them with no answers. TYPICAL MAN!
So sad that we love to watch this show. It is humliating to all women. I am glad we have you Lincee. Your blog rocks and wacthing the show is secondary.
That was the dumbest thing ever!!!! Why couldn't he just have asked one of them out on a date or something... he acted like it was the end of all decisions. That was weird... I'm weirded out
Are you people crazy? I actually respect him - why lead these bimbos on with a promise if he doesn't see it happening? Deanna actually seems to have her s*** together, but Jenni the babytalking cheerleader was batshit nuts.
I thought he was going to faint when he started pulling at his collar. I'd rather see someone be honest that go through a charade like most Bachelor finales.
Okay Lincee, go get'em! It appears he is single, so maybe he is just waiting for you:)
Being a romantic at heart, of course I'm disappointed he did not pick one of the ladies at the FRC. However, I think it was pretty BIG of him to have the guts to do what he did. It takes more courage to do what you know is right instead of doing something out of guilt to keep from hurting others.
I was actually rooting for Jenni, but as soon as she got the boot I thought - Good for her! Who wants to marry a bar owner, anyway?!
Then I had to rewind and watch the whole double rejection again. Do you all think he planned on giving D the final rose and then just couldn't commit? He really looked as if he was going to puke for a minute there.
WHAT?! How many times did he tell DeAnna he "cared about her so much" but still told her he never wanted to see her again?? I don't fully understand the logic there... and do you think that Jenny is just now finding out that she wasn't the only loser. At least he gave DeAnna a little piece of mind cause she knew that he didn't chose Couric either
I can't believe all you people who are so mad at Brad! Do you really not have your own lives to worry about? Who cares if he didn't pick one of the girls? I give him a lot of credit for doing what HE felt was right, instead of feeling pressure to pick someone. Jeez, I can't believe all of you...it's a TV show...
Ummm.. hello? This is a REALITY show - it's designed to draw out the drama and misdirect.
Did he drag out the DD scene and probably make it worse for her - yeah. BFD. This is a chick who went on a REALITY show to find "love" and was an absolute bitch to all the other desperate chicks on the show.
I respect the guy a hell of a lot more for dumping both those girls, especially the giggly baby-talker. Why go through the charade if he just doesn't see it happening? Wouldn't it hurt MORE to have the guy propose THEN dump you?
Regarding his changing his mind at the After the Rose Show, I hope none of the girls would take it. I mean seriosuly, he cannot be so inconsistent AFTER humiliating both girls, unless this is an ABC stint, which I do not think it is. Ohhh I do not think why I am taking this so personally, but I am!!!!! Ughhh!!!!
Okay seriously people. Yes, it sucks he didn't pick anyone. But take it easy on the poor guy. He did the right thing - it's much better to be honest than propose or do the whole cheesy "promise ring" bit half the other bachelors have done then break up before the final rose even airs. I'm sorry the girls got hurt but let's give the poor guy a break. It wasn't easy for him either... and he stayed true to himself which has been his mantra the entire time.
Wow! Lincee, I think this is why you weren't invited to WTA...they wanted to shock you with the finale. With the way he was talking when the ladies were getting out of their limos, I wondered if something strange might happen. Sure enough! That's ok though... he's free to meet Lincee!
Brad is a player - he owns 2 bars, and is always around lots of women who are drinking in the same environment as the 25 women he met on the Bachelor SO either:
1.) His old girlfriend came back or 2.) He met another girl outside the show, or 3.) Most likely he just wanted to return to the bar scene where he gets the most attention.
Brad was a poor choice for the Bachelor, what jack ass nominated him? and further WHY didnt he bow out of the game when there were 4 women left.
Lastly why did he not just let Hilary have her way with him, she was clearly the most turned on by him. He is one of those guys who has an impossible idea of the 'perfect' woman that does not exist .
I agree with everything you wonderful people have written...LOL. The redeaming factor I see now is that he did do the AFTR and face them...granted, the show hasn't aired and we don't know how it plays out (YET), but that is something....what if there was no AFR? Oy vey!! :)
Seriously? It is a television show people. Good for Brad if that is what he truly wanted. I think it took a lot of courage to turn them both down knowing that this is how people are going to react. Is it that hard to believe that he did not fall in love with someone in 6 weeks...and they don't spend all that much time together anyway - at least one on one.
Interesting.....I think his real twin is the guy in like in real life...LOL (over 40 (twins not the same age of course), never been married, seems to have a something he is looking for that just may not exist..hmmmmmmmm. Maybe thst is why I got so wrapped up and liked him so much?!?!? New show idea ABC, does my real life guy or HTC Brad figure it out first (ie: who picks ME!! )
When DD was driving away, I thought it would be funny if they showed a shot of HTC Brad running into the arms of Hillary. Did you see his face when he heard everything she was going to bleeping do to him? Ha!
My issue is what so many others have said...why did he say all those things to lead them on even up to the final moment and then not choose anyone and then continue to say I care about you. I mean I'll give the guy credit for not dragging it out if he didn't see them as marrying material, but seriously...I have no idea what "I was done when I first met you" means...blah blah blah...that he said to Deanna even up to the last second before he said goodbye to her. This proves again that this show is seriously messed up. Lincee HELP!!!!
BRAD???? What a l-O-S-E-R!!! Come on, man. All those fabulous women, down to two fabulous women and you act like you just got bit by a rattlesnake the final few minutes of the show....loosening your collar like you were suffocating. Everything you said you stood for was a LIE. You didn't even want to DATE one of the final two? Come on! No one will ever make you happy. To said good bye to both girls was a slap in the face to everyone. You couldn't even date one of them?? You must be one very confused man. Stay single. Do women a favour....you should have showed your true colours earlier so everyone didn't have to get misled to think you were a gentleman. You're a wimp. No wonder your twin got married before you. He's normal. And you clearly are NOT!

Brad you are so awful to lead these 2 women on. What is the deal with getting the ring if you had no intention of giving it to one of them. I think you need some counseling....weird dude for sure...they are both better off without you if your that odd..by the way go back to the bar scene that is a perfect lifestyle for you
Shows were short because it was all a sham. Ho-mack figured that out early on and the content wasn't there.
Hard to have respect for someone who figures this out and continues leading the girls on--for RATINGS!
Shame on ABC-Same on you Ho-mack.
Even his mom appeared fooled. Or maybe she was wishfully thinking this time it may work out.
Looooser-boy has a real way of twisting words to make himself look good. Has all season. DD finally picked up on his BS when he said "I never want to do anything to hurt you." her reply was "I'm hurting now." It shut him up completely.
Looks like the hottest bachelor ever started to believe his own hype.
I agree if he was not feeling it - he should not propose. He should have dated them...just to show that he was not taking advantage of them. Cause what was all that stuff about not being able to wait to see her again, yada yada yada.
He came across as sincere - I guess truth be told HE WAS KINDER TO HILARY!
You people. Sheesh. He did a GOOD thing. He was honest. Haven't you ever really, really cared about someone, genuinely, but knew you weren't in it for the long haul? That's what happened to Brad.
He clearly liked both women a lot, was attracted to them, but couldn't see a long-term thing happening with either. Jenni was just so bouncy and smiley, and what did they ever have to talk about beyond their mutual attraction? And DeAnna seemed down-to-earth and smart, but she had some sharp edges, and I'm pretty sure her whole personality never came out.
I love Brad even more now. Also, the way he phrased things at the end, it did make it sound like there were some extenuating circumstances...as if he'd already fallen for someone else, or maybe the rumors about his ex getting pregnant just before the show are true, and he was doing the honorable thing?? Who knows.
But all this stuff about him just doing the show to promote his business -- gimme a break. Have we ever once heard the names of his bars? No. I read one on another site, and believe me, it doesn't need any extra business or promo. (I'm from Austin, and I've walked past that bar many times -- total frat-boy hangout, always jam-packed.) I think he did this show as an experiment, and the experiment failed.
Maybe Brad gets laid too much back in Austin to give that up for just one of those girls. Or maybe Brad made up half of his TV persona, and didn't want the girls to find out who the real Brad is. Or maybe his penis is so small that he couldn't bare the thought of revealing that fact to girls who thought he was a stud?
i think he did it for pr for his bars, and his mom and brothers benefited, too, so they went along with it. i think he sincerely felt sick breaking up with DD b/c of her mom (he had a gut check feeling there). i live in austin and have not, and will not ever step foot in one of his bars. he is low class. never felt good about him, so insincere and always had forced words.
I'm disappointed, but not shocked. I thought at least Brad could tell D that he wasn't ready to commit with a ring, but that they'd date in real life without cameras, etc. and take it as it goes. I can't believe he didn't pick either one. I thought D was a much better choice.
Can't wait to see the After The Rose Ceremony tomorrow night. If I were J or D, I'd give him hell!
Oh, and that Chris Harrison is one hot number. He's sooooo cute. I just adore him. Oooooo, if only he weren't married (or me !!). hahaha.
how is it ABC's fault? Their job is not to provide a happy ending, just entertainment. I will continue to watch the bachelor because i am not a hopeless romantic who expects the couple to get married and ride off into the sunset, but for me it is a guilty pleasure. i get to watch people behave in ways that are amusing, surprising, and sometimes shocking. keep things in perspective and remember it is all just for fun. how is your life really affected by whether they get married or not? come on...
keep in mind that this is a guy who has dated a ton of women and could have very many of the women in Austin (and now the country). He came on the show because he was unfulfilled with these women and he wanted to meet his dream wife.
7th place - McCarten - crazy unattractive "skank" - that tells you all you need to know about the people who finished below her - no thanks!
6th place - Kristy - well she looks a little like a statue version of Scarlett Johansson, but she has no personality - no thanks!
5th place - Hillary - nutcase + nympho = no thanks!
4th place - Sheena - he tried to convince himself that she was alright because his married brother apparently thought so, but ultimately she proved herself too empty / stupid / related to crazy people - no thanks!
3rd place - Bettina - someone who he felt was hot, and who he gave a good chance to, but was clearly too empty / stupid, plus he hated her family and she was a used car - no thanks!
2nd place - Jenni - someone who he actually liked initially and gave a chance to develop the relationship into something deeper. All she proceeded to do was dance like a teenager and cry. Sorry, no thanks!
1st place - "DeAnna" - someone who he really wanted to like. She had qualities of strength and independence that he clearly is not used to in the normal Austin bar tramps. Unfortunately they had no chemistry. Brad really wanted something to be there that simply wasn't - he eventually realized it. If you could combined "DeAnna" with Jenni you would probably have what he was looking for. Unfortunately - no thanks!
All, I can say is, way to go Brad. These girls weren't right for him and he realized it, instead of making a commitment that the previous losers couldn't keep.
Why is everyone so angry with Brad? I admire the fact that he didn't chose either woman if he wasn't truly in love. He knows his heart and did the right thing. Although I do feel bad for Jenni and Deanna. That has got to hurt. :o(
I picked up on a few hints--- on the final show that I think may have changed Brad's mind for BOTH girls. Jenni starts crying- last minute plea, I think he felt that it wasn't the same confident girl that he dated. -she also said earlier that she "loved to dance" and that she COULDNT move to Texas for at least a year" Mom wasn't convinced either......so No to Jenni-----then Deanna admits that someday.... Brad would HAVE TO DO THE dishes and laundry the WAY THAT SHE wanted them.......the true natures came out just in time and I think he freaked out...
We have heard the names of the bars...and now he has a my space, and a my space for each of his bars.
I think he was unnecessarily cruel to the last two girls...he did lead them on. DD especially, by telling her Jenni just left. It is pretty obvious that he did not consider the girls feelings. He could have handled it much better. After all it was a possibilty all along - especially since he fought to include that outcome! So it was in the back of his mind from the beginning.
I wonder if Brad wrote any of the comments on this page! That would be interesting! We can speculate all that we want to, but remember the old saying... "walk a mile in my shoes". He seems like a very proud man, and he would not want to b.s. the girls or the public. Not even for ratings, or hype. It was not a popularity contest. He is clearly secure with himself.
Alright, alright...yeah Brad...way to go...follow your heart...do the right thing up front...blah, blah, blah.
I agree with all of that, but gooood LORD, ABC. PULEEEAASE!
I get that people are applauding how upfront and honest he is being, but for me, ABC, I'm in it to see somebody get picked up and twirled around at the end. Otherwise, it was just one big fat waste. Even if they break up in 3 weeks. Do I care? A little, but I still want to see a ring and twirling. Happiness, ABC. Not total shock and confusion and aggravation.
I'm done. No more Bachelor. I'll read the blog for the hilarious writing, but I really couldn't care any less about whatever bachelor ABC is going to waste everyone's time with. I'll stick to swooning over Jimmy Smits in Cane on CBS. CBS has lots of Jimmy Smits in a suit and sunglasses...slow motion in the sugar cane fields, slow motion in a club, slow motion...wherever. No more bachelor...I'm sticking to fiction.
PS - don't let your 6 year olds watch the bachelor. And we wonder how 1st graders learn what is sexy. Good grief.
I kind of thought, or was hoping, that after he said goodbye to D that he would have ABC bring Jenni back. He would tell her that he almost made the biggest mistake of his life and he would propose on bended knee...etc.
Oh well. He really did just choose NOBODY. I really do have to wake up and take care of kids in only a few hours. And I really do have to cook dinner for 14, for which I have yet to completely shop for.
I guess that's why they call it reality TV. Sometimes you win 'em, sometimes...ABC screws you.
Jenni, if you are reading this, girlfriend, you've got class! You didn't trash talk... you were wonderful. Even in the limo, you held up your head and I was sobbing for you. I'm sorry he was such a coward!
BRAD, YOU'VE GOT COMMITMENT PROBLEMS BUDDY! I mean, really, you didn't have to propose! You could of just continued dating!
Wow... I'm shocked... this is frustrating... I won't watch again, unless Jenni is the Bachelorette. ABC burned me twice, and I won't allow them to suck me in again. What a waste of time! *looking for some chocolate* I need closure! lol
Agreeing with those saying 6 year olds should not watch batchelor. Let's be parents here. We can have our trash t.v. later, or tivo it.
Jenni-the-Pooh-katie-couric-look-alike will be OK. She's a sweety with a career going. She'll have men at her feet all over the place.
DD will be OK too. She's strong.
What amazes me is that these beautiful women all are single and sometimes bemoan the fact that they keep getting dumped. THEY LOOK SO DESPERATE. Seriously, you'd have to either be adventerous or desperate to go on a reality show like this.
I seriously wonder how much premarital sex goes on in these circles. Is there STD's getting passed around? Aren't these women telling the world that they are kindof easy and cheesy? They seem to have the looks and some have the brains, yet they set the bar low for themselves.
The last 4 or so women are gonna have a hard time opening up their hearts to the next men in their lives after this journey. I say "hold the cards close girls, and don't sell yourself short!"
I kind of thought this is what might happen... yet I'm still shocked. I guess Brad had to follow his heart, I just feel for the girls who got caught up in all of it... and are now heartbroken. (although I have a feeling these two will bounce back pretty quick. They're strong).
I'm dying to see tonights show!! Can't wait to hear what Brad says (and see if any of the rumors are true, like his ex is pregnant or he is seeing DD again)
Deanna came off bad to me last night. She couldn't understand how Brad couldn't possibly love her. I don't blame her for being upset but she sure is full of herself.
Brad didn't lead anybody on. He didn't have any choice but to finish the show and he probably honestly thought that by the time he got to two girls he would "know" which one was for him. These bachelors always seem so caught up in picking the best wife that they forget going with their feelings and falling in love. And I might be and probably am completely wrong, but that's my take on the little we see that happens. And I don't think he did it for publicity. Doesn't look like he needs it.
i dont think he did it to promote his business either. He was sincere, I still believe he wanted to pick someone, and maybe couldnt do it. I dont get why he couldnt just date one after the show, but he did say im going to break two hears, mine and one of the girls', but then he said, but it will be positive and happy with the remaining woman, whats that then? did he just choke at the end? i cant wait for tongiht.
Did anyone else hear him say "I love you" to Jenni as he was hugging her and saying good-bye? I think he did the right thing by not proposing if he didn't think it was right but it stinks that he would say I love you when he's dumping someone. Just saying ....
How amazing that there are almost 200 comments and Lincee hasn't even written her blog. She has a tough job to do today - make sense of this season and be funny too? I think he was into both of them but realized neither was right for the long term and decided not to do the propose and then break up thing... so he was a little more honest than some of the other bachelors. A little bit of Jenni + a little bit of D Ahna would be just right. But would you commit to a fame-crazed Phoenix Sunds dancer with that giggle? Or to D who was so nasty to other women? Good luck Lincee, this will be your hardest recap yet! Looking forward to the ATFR !!
Well Brad is a FOOL...letting Deanna go like that and breaking her heart...he could of at least said let's continue to date...but no he just lets the best thing that could have ever happened to him walk out of his life. A FOOL he is! HUGE MISTAKE, BIG!
The Bachelor 11 season finale...insert Jim Halpert face here.
Was it just me or did Brad's mom remind you of Paula Deen? What do you want to bet that DeAnna only used a half of a stick of butter in that lasagna dish?? A whole stick, people!! That's all it takes. No wonder Brad passed them both up. It's all about the stick of butter, my friends...
I respect his honestly. However, how disappointing he did not find true love with one of the girls. The fact that he was even on the show tells us us his friends and family were trying to help him find a woman. Maybe he is gay and just couldn't commit to a woman
I was so sad. I cried and cried during the Jenni goodbye. She completely left with class. Then there was DeHANNa. I am telling you her true colors came out. Tonight should be interesting. I don't think I took a breath during the last 20 minutes. Can't wait to see what Lincee has to say. Lincee is my homegirl!
I appreciated that Deanna was a bit harsh on Brad. I have no idea what is going on, but this ending was poor. He tells Deanna that he doesn't love her, that she has to leave "right now", but then accuses her of "shutting him out" at the limo? WTF?
Deanna was so devestated. and i cried for her. She shouldn't of been used like that, same thing with jenni. i was really, REALLY, mad that had happened. I mean seriously, what was brad thinking?!?!!
on the side note: who ever said that deanna's true colors came out, try to be in her position. you would be so surprised. i am happy with the way she left him, with some guilt.
Isn't the whole point of this show to lead girls on, only to pull the rug out at the rose ceremony. Waxed-chest-guy from last year told Bevin he loved her, then dumped her. Why are you people so shocked?
Can you imagine listening to Jenni's giggle for the rest of your life, and about her committment to her "career" as a Phoenix Suns dancer? Come on. DD was better, but if he didn't feel it, it's better he ended it.
I thought it was the most shocking and best bachelor endings ever, ABC finally did not disappoint. I did feel sorry for both girls. Everyone can empathise with having your heart broken. I must have stared at the tv with my jaw on the floor for 30 minutes. I do not understand why everyone feels robbed of a season. Odds are, if he did pick one, they would have been broken up by now anyway.
I feel like we have all been hoodwinked. Brad is a businessman -- a bar man. And it seems like he used this show as a platform to advance his businesses -- I think that was his real plan all along...
Oh, and I think he brought Bettina to Cabo so that he could poke a really hot woman -- not b/c he particularly liked her more than Sheena.
I think he led these women on. I think...he is not such a nice man.
I noticed from the start that Brad was not the most eloquent of speakers, but tonight just showed that not only is he not eloquent, he lacks brains all together. Maybe Bettina's dad was right. We all hated her family when we saw that episode, but now it seems like the clearest picture of the most uneducated, selfish, inconsiderate man on TV. You don't tell women all the wonderful things about them, if you aren't going to stick around. Yo led both girls on. Asked them to tell you how they felt about you, and then told them you didn't feel the same?! Brad, not even with good looks, or a million dollars will anyone want you now.
a) Number of times Jenni said "whole wide world" - 27
b) Number of times Brad said "My whole entire life" - 32
These guys gotta get some new schtick - it's wearing thin. I thought it was a FAB season - it's reality TV, people, not something to take some moral higher ground about!! Also: I totally think he was going to propose or "choose" DD but couldn't go through with it at the last minute - that is the question for tonight and I will be very disappointed if he doesn't come clean about what his original intentions were during that last ceremony.
My older sister taught me at a young age to say the ABCs, so when it was time to learn them in school, I memorized them backwards, and it has been my "stupid human trick" since I was five years old. I can also talk like I’m stuck in a closet.

I'm pumped! Go Jenni!
What the hell would make tonight's show, "The most shocking conclusion to The Bachelor, ever!" ????
I really think he doesn't pick either girl and that's why it's so "shocking."
I think the picture means that he chose DeAnna...Those damn tricky ABC folks.
I am pretty sure this picture is from the rose ceremony in Cabo.
I'm pumped, too! Cannot wait! I'm wondering if the girl says no. That would be shocking. There sure is a lot of hype about this one being something we have to have watched from the begining to appreciate. The suspense is killing me!
Here's Brad on Jimmy Kimmel. It's from a while ago, but it's still funny. Couldn't remember if it had already been posted.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=3jzgkGy27a4
OK, WHY the rose in this picture then? Doesn't this give it away? In Cabo she had a blue dress on and I don't remember any snuggly nose to nose time after she accepted the rose. Hmmm....I see this as an "oops" on ABC's part. The countdown is progressing and I cannot hardly stand myself!!!!
But, where is the final rose ceremony? Maybe Cabo is right and I retract my earlier statement. Is there water in the final episode? Oh the suspense!
Lincee, what do you think about the rumors that he doesn't pick anyone?
Shocking conclusion: That he would like to continue to date both girls, to see which one has his heart in the real world!
HAHAHA
Perhaps the shocking conclusion is that he is NOT A MILLIONAIRE. He lost all his money.
(After all this useless free advertising...hah!)
Seriously...wouldn't it be shocking if Brad whipped out an extra rose from inside his jacket and gave them both a rose! To continue to date them in the real world!
karina, I think you might be right !! How fun would that be???
Please - anyone..post who he picked..I'm on the west coast and I can't wait much longer!! What's the big surprise??
I really hope he picks Deanna!!!!
D
www.mommysworldonline.com
to 9:07 - the show didn't start til 10 eastern time. No clue yet! D AH na loved his family, they loved her, he kissed her, seems really into her
Thanks for the update "9:13"!!! It's only 7:15 here now, I was glad to find this blog so I don't have to wait three hours!! Can't wait!!
he really appeared to be worried about DD's opening up to him just moments ago - like he knew he was going to be breaking her heart......i am still hopeful for DD, though....i think Mom liked her over Jenni the Pooh
anon 8:20pm I heard Jenni say that too last week on the preview and I agree. They just sliced it to fit in with their most shocking ending ever. We'll just have to wait and see. I'm on mountain time and it hasn't started yet.... I can't wait!
fyi - he chose Deanna. BOOOOO!!
Deanna - hmmmmmmm, kind of surprised. So what was shocking?? Did he change his mind at the last minute?
i take that back - he dumped them both!!!!!
Not so fast, ladies!!! He told DD to peace out as well.
i'm in shock. lincee, we need your recap!!!!!!!! it is an emergency.
DETAILS DETAILS --- please for those of us still waiting to watch the show --- yes, we want spoilers!! Is he going to date them both?? Or walk away??
Wow. I don't understand why he couldn't just not give one of them a ring but continue to date her to see if it could develop into love. I think the guy's got some commitment issues.
hes gay
abc the bachelor fixed to improve their stinkin rating now everybody is gonna talk about the bachelor think of the tabloids bull sh t
I guess he thought if he had such a hard time deciding between the two, then neither one must be "The One".
Good call anon 959. I agree with the coomitment issues theory as well.
I feel robbed! I want my twelve hours back of watching this Bachelor!!! ARGH!
I turned it on to see DD crying in the limo... so he didn't pick either? WTF? Who can give the five sentence recap?
OMGosh!!! OMGosh!!! Lincee, you're in... Oh Lord, please do the recap tonight.....OMGosh!
WHAT?! OMGosh!!! That's all I can say.
Good job ABC, I never saw that one coming.... Even though people kept saying, I thought NO WAY! OMGosh!!
Shocking...yet not so shocking. Another man with two women throwing themselves at him dumps them both. So disappointed in this one...
The ring company made him show the ring anyway. That must be in the contract.
I really didn't see that coming at all. He seemed so confident of his decision towards the end...who knew it would be THAT decision.
The one sentence recap is he picked no one....
P - L - A - Y - E - R
Five sentence recap:
His family loved both girls.
Is he going to give it to the "HOST?"
wow - i can't wait to watch it now - so he's done with them both, huh? Not even a "date in the real world" chance? DD must have had quite a look on her face when he stepped away. wowsers!
Are you kidding me? I didn't like him from the beginning. But - I guess if he really didn't love either one of them, then it's better in the long run.
Suddenly there was a massive influx of women into Austin....
Now that he's officially single, I cannot imagine how packed his bars will be this weekend with women hoping to hunt him down.
My husband thinks he's going back to the divorced blondie that's so hot. Anyone agree? I think he poked them all on the overnight dates...
Do you think he was planning to propose to Deanna and backed out at the last minute? Or was he pacing just to work up the courage?
I agree with the "I want my 12 hours back". A load of shit...
Easy. He lusted after Jenni, nothing more. De was the motherly type, nothing more. He wants to find that in ONE woman!
i am so upset.
Pacing to work up the courage to give her the old heave ho in my opinion.
i think he was scared as hell of deanna and was afraid of her reaction.... that was what the pacing was about....
Wow, I can't wait to watch it. I live in Nasvhille and they are showing the Titans football game on ABC instead of DWTS and The Bachelor. They are airing it at 2am instead. I can't believe it!
Unbelievable. I am so irritated. I want my time back, too. Why show him picking out a ring? What a freakin' charade.
what about all his comments about finding his soul mate and being in love and being happy. that is such bullshit!!!
I am so not watching the show tomorrow. I don't even want to see his face.
He's opening a brothel. I don't think this one is ever getting married...
he would not have gone through all that if he had no intention of asking either one - would he? it does seem like something may be up. there is rarely an after the rose ceremony so maybe something is going on. it still doesnt explain why he has gone on and on about finding his soul mate, being in love, etc.
In the preview, there was a weird smile in his face... I think he just enjoys the attention...
If you looked at him sitting on the steps at the end with the ring in his hand it looked like he was gathering the courage to propose to the host.
Truly, look at him. Why would he want to marry? So many women, so less time...
The best part of sitting here in shock has been finding refuge in all of the other folks who turned to Lincee for support....
We're all anxiously awaiting your report and insight!
As my 6 year old put it...she (DD) curled her hair for that?
He's a fake. He always seemed too good to be true...because he wasn't
It seems like ABC wanted to copy HBO's Sopranos finale.
I'm traumatized, tonight we all need the ABC psychologist.
I can't believe he didn't choose anyone. I say this everytime, but this time I am not wasting one more minute watching this show...No one ever gets Married!!!! How sad!!!!
I heard he's dating Jenni in secret
i am totally disappointed too. She looks awesome at the after show, take that bullshit b-rad.
where did you hear he's dating Jenni?
But, I saw it before they did, and again, it was not at his bar, or posted by her.
as my mom said, he hurt all us viewers, and we thought he was so sincere, how could he do that to us, never mind the ladies?
oooh okay okay okay, i just thought her being so strong and all why would she go back, thanks for clearing that up.
He's a fake, get over it. He's just a MAN!
Poor girl! Good thing he got all his publicity.
anon 1010's husband is right on the money. i say brad's on his way back to bettina.
I will never be pumped again unless it's the bachelorette!! No more trusting the men to do the job right. I'm going to hit my husband just because Brad has now struck a mortal blow to all mankind. And now I will not look at a man trustingly again for at least a few days! Brad you suck Womack!!
He's a good actor, though!
thanks for letting me vent, im still mad at him, but i'll live.
I agree with the last couple of comments. He really seemed like a nice guy and I still think that he was not wrong to say goodbye to both of them. That said, why did he say those things to DD when she got there? When I kissed you, it was not like any others? What is that? But, in the end, I guess he was just honest.
honest yes, but he didnt have any good explanation. He cant get off that easy.
Yet another man that only thinks with his thing...
I'm so mad! I hope Brad never finds a wife and grows old by himself! He's a heartless, spineless, loser! I'll never watch The Bachelor again. I feel like I wasted my time watching it this season. I'm done with that show.
I'm so glad everybody was here to vent tonight. None of my other friends watch the show so at least I have all of you!
Goodnight everyone, I know who I won't be dreaming about tonight or ever again.
IM SO PISSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He a Momma's boy, plain and simple. Some people shouldn't be married because they're too full of themselves. He's one of those people.
That was the dumbest thing ever!!!! Why couldn't he just have asked one of them out on a date or something... he acted like it was the end of all decisions. That was weird... I'm weirded out
D. looked pretty pissed herself. She gave it to him pretty good. I wish she had just turned stomped out of there.
Talk about a business move. Was he really in it to get married or was it about increasing business at the family bar! I SAY BOYCOTT!
Obviously ABC isn't explaining things to their Bachelor candidates very well.
Here you go Brad:
#1. You pick 1 girl from numerous gorgeous choices.
#2. You show them a good time for at least a couple weeks before you dump them - you loser!!!
At least he gave DeAnna a little piece of mind cause she knew that he didn't chose Couric either
okay so i missed the show ... i know he didnt pick either girl ... but can someone explain what exactly happened??
*xrisoula
It wasn't easy for him either... and he stayed true to himself which has been his mantra the entire time.
i am soooooooooo speechless!
what a waste of my time!!!!
I will NOT be watching the ATFR
I refuse to watch more of my time.
I will just patiently read your blog.
How could he lead those women on like that? How could u Brad????
Wow! Lincee, I think this is why you weren't invited to WTA...they wanted to shock you with the finale.
With the way he was talking when the ladies were getting out of their limos, I wondered if something strange might happen. Sure enough!
That's ok though... he's free to meet Lincee!
unfucking-believable
Brad is a player - he owns 2 bars, and is always around lots of women who are drinking in the same environment as the 25 women he met on the Bachelor SO either:
1.) His old girlfriend came back or
2.) He met another girl outside the show, or
3.) Most likely he just wanted to return to the bar scene where he gets the most attention.
New show idea ABC, does my real life guy or HTC Brad figure it out first (ie: who picks ME!! )
to lead women on like that and still be mad at them when they don't want to talk to you kills me
it seemed to me that he was more concerned letting jenny down than deanna
what is wrong with this bachelor???
what is wrong with this bachelor???
Well, I had originally hoped he wouldn't choose either of them and then Sheena would come out of the bushes and be the surprise ending to the show--
But now I don't think I care.
Ho hum.
Tonight's show sure did have a lot of good fodder for Lincee's blog, though! Can't wait for that~
please re read blog. re what is wrong with Brad.. I listed in 1 2 3 maybe you should be the next Bachlor.
When DD was driving away, I thought it would be funny if they showed a shot of HTC Brad running into the arms of Hillary. Did you see his face when he heard everything she was going to bleeping do to him? Ha!
Saw on another board, that a friend of a friend saw him at a birthday party last week with D.

Let's all just quit watching the show and spend our time watching or doing something else more worthwhile. What a stupid ending.
Poor Jenni...that's all I could think. She was crushed. DD was pissed but seemed to shed a few tears just for the camera. I feel so bad for Jenni.
Brad you are so awful to lead these 2 women on. What is the deal with getting the ring if you had no intention of giving it to one of them. I think you need some counseling....weird dude for sure...they are both better off without you if your that odd..by the way go back to the bar scene that is a perfect lifestyle for you
Check out this blog. She is dead on...

jacksEgocentric-Committment phobe!!
One word
P-L-A-Y-E-R!!!
I am totally shocked. Brad picked nobody? Feels like something went wrong somewhere!!!!
Anonymous
You people.
Viva Brad Womack!
Instead of DeAnna walking down the hallway, barefoot, you know what would have been a better post-ending scene?
A double screen of both girls singing to their iPods with headphones in to Alanis Morissette's "You Oughta Know".
That's just good TV, people.
anonymous 10:27,
you let your 6 year old watch the bachelor?
I wonder if he nailed any of them?
Maybe Brad gets laid too much back in Austin to give that up for just one of those girls. Or maybe Brad made up half of his TV persona, and didn't want the girls to find out who the real Brad is. Or maybe his penis is so small that he couldn't bare the thought of revealing that fact to girls who thought he was a stud?
Maybe it was Jenni's secret love affair with Amare Staudemire?
i wonder if there are any of them he didn't nail
i think he did it for pr for his bars, and his mom and brothers benefited, too, so they went along with it. i think he sincerely felt sick breaking up with DD b/c of her mom (he had a gut check feeling there). i live in austin and have not, and will not ever step foot in one of his bars. he is low class. never felt good about him, so insincere and always had forced words.
I will continue to watch the bachelor because i am not a hopeless romantic who expects the couple to get married and ride off into the sunset, but for me it is a guilty pleasure. i get to watch people behave in ways that are amusing, surprising, and sometimes shocking. keep things in perspective and remember it is all just for fun. how is your life really affected by whether they get married or not? come on...
greatest bachelor ever - by far
keep in mind that this is a guy who has dated a ton of women and could have very many of the women in Austin (and now the country).
-she also said earlier that she "loved to dance" and that she COULDNT move to Texas for at least a year" Mom wasn't convinced either......so No to Jenni-----then
Deanna admits that someday.... Brad would HAVE TO DO THE dishes and laundry the WAY THAT SHE wanted them.......the true natures came out just in time and I think he freaked out...
I think he dumped DeAHna because she blinks too much.
I have no idea what she said because I was distracted by the blinking!!! Did you notice that?
This whole season I was rooting for Jenni!
*looking for some chocolate* I need closure! lol
Loving the comments.
I think he was going to ask Deanna but then he changed his mind because he realized that he's not going to be with her family but her.
