Just hours after appearing as a success story on ABC's After the Rose special, former Bachelor contestant Mary Delgado was arrested in Florida on charges of assaulting Byron Velvick, the bachelor who gave her the final rose – and a marriage proposal.
Police say that Delgado and Velvick, who appeared on the Bachelor's sixth season, got in an angry confrontation at 12:15 on Wednesday morning. According to police, Delgado hit Velvick in the face, splitting his upper lip. Velvick refused medical treatment at the scene.
Makes me wonder what else has been happening...

Poor Mary! Obviously, she is DESPERATE to GET MARRIED! Good ol' Byron--doing what BACHELORS do--stringing her along. I kinda don't blame the ol' gal for taking a punch at the guy. Three years is WAY too long to wait for any man to walk down the aisle. I predict this relationship will be OVER shortly! SOMEBODY has to come to their senses!

I was LOL on the last show when Chris Harrison said they had a priest and they could get married right then. Byron looked like he wanted to take off. Now I see why! She's CA-RAZY!

Have you read Kate's blog? Kate from Officer Andy's season? Although I love your blog for your enormous wit & humor, I do adore her blog as well, because it is gritty and real. I was wondering if you had read the latest entry on her site and what your thoughts on it were. She goes into detail about what really happened on the ATFR show. She said she knows two stage hands for the show and they gave her all the info she wrote aobut. Please let us know your thoughts on Kate's thoughts...thanks Lincee!

Looks like yet another Bachelor romance is on the rocks.
Mary Delgado, who received the final rose and a proposal from Byron Velvick on the 2004 edition of the matchmaking series, was arrested Wednesday for allegedly punching a man she lives with in the mouth, police said.
Her victim was presumably Velvick, though he was not named in the police report. However, authorities said the pair had lived together "as a family" for the past three years.
Delgado was booked on a battery charge and was found to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of her arrest, according to a police affidavit. She was released Wednesday afternoon.
Ironically, the twosome appeared together on ABC's Bachelor special, After the Final Rose, just hours before their dustup and reaffirmed their intention to marry, saying the wedding would take place sometime next year.
During the appearance, Delgado, a former NFL cheerleader, said she was so enamored of her pro fisherman fiancé that she had even taken up his sport of choice.
"I love this man so much that I have fallen in love with the sport that he loves," she told the audience.
There's been no comment from the couple since the altercation.
Should Delgado and Velvick still make it down the aisle as planned, they would be the second Bachelor twosome to wed.
To date, Bachelorette star Trista Sutter and her man of choice, Ryan Sutter, are the only couple to tie the knot after meeting on the show.

What is wrong w/ you people? I checked out Kate's blog b/c everyone was saying how great it is....IT SUX! It's just her opinion, not even that much dirt about what being on the Bachelor was really about. She so needs to take some lessons from our beloved Lincee - humor is what the people want, not bitchin & whining & crap about your boyfried!!!

Come on guys...we are all Lincee fans! Lincee's blog is the absolute best, I totally agree. And Kate has a totally different style. There is no way anyone who reads Lincee's blog will stop reading it just because of Kate's blog. But Kate does have some good insight as to how the behind the scenes works on this show. I think it is kind of interesting to read her blog. Lincee's blog is great for her wit, humor and hilarious timing...but Kate's blog is gritty and real. I like both blogs for different reasons. However; Lincee is still, and always will be, the VERY BEST BACHELOR BLOGGER!
I couldn't stand Kate B. last season and now I remember why. My friend in L.A. gives me better "inside" info than that, and it's only because she listens to Ryan Seacrest's radio show!

Does anyone else live in an area near a Dillard's department store? In one of their Thanksgiving fliers, I'm pretty sure Jenni ("Couric") is modeling a coat.
I watched an episode of Ellen with Deanna on it after the Final Rose and she said she is moving on but still has feelings for Brad. She also said she is bartending but her profession was listed as realtor. I remember one of the other girls was a bartender so why did they not show Deanna's real occupation. There is nothing wrong with that and it just makes the show look bad. Why misrepresent something like that? She looked great though and said that her dad came over after she had gone back to her apartment after the Rose ceremony and she was surprised to see him. It makes me think that the producers knew he wasn't picking either girl and wanted her dad there to support her after she was rejected because they knew she would be devastated. I did check out Kate's blog and I'm not sure what to think of it yet. She seems to be very down on ABC and the show and Lt. Andy.
Way to go, AggieFan! Leave it to the Ags to swoop in and figure out what's going on.
